Thoughts on Volunteerism
Volunteerism is a basic expression of human relationships. It is about people’s need to participate in society and to feel that they matter to others. . . . For many of you, volunteerism is about giving back to your community. So many of you tell me how you receive so much more than you give when you volunteer here.
We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that. This enables us to do something, and to do it very well. It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a step along the way, an opportunity for the Lord’s grace to enter and do the rest.
St. Oscar Romero
To the world you may be just one person. But to one person, you may be the world.
Volunteers make it all happen! If you would like to volunteer or receive more information about volunteering for a particular program, complete the following form and indicate which program(s) you are interested in.
